Our Minister: The Rev. Patty Hanneman

Patty has two grown children; her son Russ and his wife Stacie live in Chicago, and her daughter Kellie lives in Charlotte. Her parents and brother, Stan and his wife Liz live in Nebraska. Karen’s sister and mother live in Minnesota. Perhaps two of their most important family members live with them, their dogs Hercules and Jack.

In my personal life I strive to live more soulfully and be more relevant to the community in which I live and work. As a religious leader I would encourage my congregation to aspire to this as well. I love the philosophy of social activist Emma Goldman as she declares: “I don’t want to be part of any revolution where there isn’t dancing!” Our lives and the communities in which we serve should be filled with both justice seeking and celebration.
